Hello! I’m Daniel McKewen, a 20-year veteran in Soft Goods design. My journey includes not just design work but founding an internationally renowned cycling bag company and managing a production facility. These experiences, coupled with years of consulting, have shaped my unique ‘end-to-end’ approach to product development. While my heart lies in the outdoor industry, I’ve had the opportunity to work across various sectors, leading teams that cater to clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small entrepreneurs. My daily tasks span a wide array of disciplines including team leadership, traditional cut and sew techniques, sew-free construction, project management, textile development, integrating soft and hard goods, providing manufacturing consulting and much more.
Outside of work I love going on adventures with my family. I love climbing, cycling and camping. I love making music with my traditional Irish band (The Drowsy Lads). I love my faith. I love my friends. I love designing and sewing camping gear. There is nothing sweeter than having all this in balance!
